LENNOXVILLE, Que. – Four former members of Bishop's Gaiters football team are set to play in the 99th Grey Cup on Sunday evening in Vancouver. The four players: Dan McCullough, James Yurichuk, Jamall Lee and Shawn Gore are all members of the B.C. Lions, the 2011 CFL Western Division Champions.

With four ex-players in the game, Bishop's will have the most representation of any CIS football school, and the second-highest total of any program (Simon Fraser has 6).

McCullough, 28, is in his fourth year as the Lions' long snapper. In 2011, the Fredericton, N.B., native made nine Special Teams Tackles and did not have a fumble.

Yurichuk and Lee, both 25, were drafted by the Lions in 2009. Yurichuk made his first career start at linebacker this season, and finished with 39 total tackles (28 defensive, 11 special teams). Yurichuk also executed the second dribbled ball manoeuvre of his career, kicking the ball forward 24 yards and picking it up in a game against Calgary.

Lee saw limited time on offence, but continued to excel on special teams, as he made 13 special teams tackles and had one fumble return.

Gore, 24, has just completed his first full season with the Lions. He finished second on the team, and 13th in the CFL, with 836 receiving yards on 60 catches. Gore, a second-round pick of the Lions in 2010, also had 12 carries for 85 yards. He scored his first career touchdown on November 5 against the Montreal Alouettes.

A fifth Gaiter, Tim Cronk, is currently listed on the Lions' practice roster. He signed with the Lions in August and played 12 regular-season games, but was on the one-game injured list for last week's Western Final. The Kingston, Ont. native, made six special teams tackles, and scored a touchdown after recovering a blocked punt on September 17 against Calgary, becoming the first ex-Gaiter to score a touchdown in the CFL since Gilles Colon in 2006.

Altogether, ten Gaiters played at least one game in the CFL this season, eclipsing the previous high of seven, set in the 1997 season.

The 99th Grey Cup is set for Sunday, November 27, at 6 p.m. Eastern in Vancouver, and will be carried live on TSN.
