LENNOXVILLE, Que. – Dane Fitzpatrick (Cornwall, Ont.) of the Bishop’s Gaiters posted a score of 86 in the first round of the Canadian College/University Golf Championship on Tuesday (May 31) at the Royal Ashburn Golf Club in Ashburn, Ontario.

Fitzpatrick, who is the first-ever Gaiter to complete at the Golf Canada-conducted event, posted identical scores of 43 on the front and back nine, as he finished 14 over par.

The men’s individual leader is Manitoba’s Josh Wytnick, who posted a 4-under-par 68.

Fitzpatrick will tee off at 3:08 p.m. on Wednesday (June 1) in the second round of the 72-hole event.
