LENNOXVILLE, Que. – Noah Harrison (Toronto, Ont.) of the Bishop's Gaiters has been named the Quebec university rugby union Player of the Year. The veteran Number 8 is the inaugural winner of the award, and is one of five Gaiters to be honoured by the league in their annual awards. Also winning prizes were lock Max Grouette (Surrey, B.C.), who was named the league's Rookie of the Year, while Harrison, Adam Moore (Dartmouth, N.S.), Kyle Kelly (Halifax, N.S.) and Andrew Jamieson (Beaconsfield, Que.) were named to the league All-Star team.

Harrison, a fourth-year Business major, led the Gaiters and was third in the league with 25 points in six games. He was the linchpin of the Gaiters' front pack, and keyed the Bishop's attack and defence. This is the first time Harrison has been named a league award-winner

Grouette, a six-foot-four, 240-pound lock, was named the league Rookie of the Year for his strong performance on the Gaiters' front line. The Business major immediately stepped into the Gaiters' veteran pack and became a force in the scrums and pushing the Bishop's attack forward.

Andrew Jamieson was named an all-star for the second straight year. The sophomore centre scored a pair of tries for the Gaiters this season as he led the Bishop's back line. Kelly is a first-time honouree. The third-year prop was honoured for his work in the scrums, and his key runs with the ball. Moore is also a first-time honouree. The second-year flanker had a strong year as he moved into the starting lineup, highlighted by his Man of the Match award in the Gaiters' Homecoming win over Sherbrooke.

The Gaiters (3-3-1 overall, 3-2-1 Quebec), fell to Concordia, 13-10, last Saturday in the league semi-final.
