LENNOXVILLE, Que. – A balanced attack led the Concordia Stingers to a 5-0 victory over Bishop's Gaiters in CIS women's soccer action on Sunday afternoon in Montreal. Five different players scored for the Stingers, who improved to 2-7-3 on the year.
Concordia received goals from Marie-Lou Hamel, Emily Hubbard, Bella James, Kayla Myre and Melissa White-Kendro. Brittany O'Rourke made three saves to pick up the shutout.Becky Yates (Halifax, N.S.) made six saves in goal for the Gaiters, while sophomore defender Dale Adamson (Cambridge, Ont.) was named the team's player of the game.
The Gaiters (0-10-2) are next in action on Friday evening, as they host the UQAM Citadins (1-7-4) at Coulter Field, with kickoff set for 6 p.m. Concordia's next game is on Friday night at Sherbrooke, with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m., but subject to change.
