LENNOXVILLE, Que. – A hat trick by Marie-Michel Girard led the UQAM Citadins to a 7-0 shutout of the Bishop's Gaiters in CIS women's soccer action tonight at Coulter Field. Girard scored in the 34th, 45th and 59th minutes. The Citadins led 5-0 at halftime, as they took advantage of an injury-depleted Gaiter lineup.

Sabrina Addona scored a pair of goals for the Citadins, while Caroline Michaud-Morasse and Andrée Gariepy added singles.

Juliana Miele made her second career start in goal, stopping five shots. She was replaced by Krista Wilson at halftime, who made four saves on six shots in her first CIS appearance as a goalkeeper. Constance Laroche-Lefebvre made two saves for the Gaiters.

Girard was named player of the game for UQAM, while Taylor Wade won MVP honours for Bishop's.

The Gaiters (0-11-2) close out their season on Sunday afternoon, as they visit the Laval Rouge et Or (4-5-4) in Quebec City. UQAM will also conclude their season on Sunday, as they visit UQTR.
