Women's Rugby falls at Sherbrooke

LENNOXVILLE, Que. – Four tries by Sabrina Poulin led the Sherbrooke Vert & Or to a 73-0 win over the Bishop's Gaiters in CIS women's rugby action at the Université de Sherbrooke synthetic field, Thursday.

Poulin's 20 points led all scorers. Lya Jolicoeur scored three tries, while Anne-Sophie Hamel (2), Mélissandre Labrie, Marjolaine Lanthier, Laurence D-Dupont and Lisa-Anne Lessard also scored tries for Sherbrooke. Labrie and Lanthier each kicked a pair of conversions.

The Gaiters fall to 0-5 on the year, and are officially out of playoff contention. They will close out the season on Sunday, October 15, as they visit the McGill Martlets at Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue.
