The Bishop’s Gaiters Basketball Camp is an instructional camp designed to promote interest, enthusiasm and skill development for all its participants. Our Directors and staff make every effort to create an enjoyable learning experience for all our campers

Our camp is located 150 km southeast of Montreal in one of the most beautiful areas of the province—the Eastern Townships

  • 1 ½ hours from the Champlain Bridge
  • 2 ½ hours from Quebec City
  • 3 ½ hours from Ottawa
  • 40 minutes from the Vermont border
  • Residence—$575 ($250 Deposit)
  • Day Camper—$275 ($100 Deposit)
  • Arrival and Registration on Sunday, 5 p.m.
  • Camp begins at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
  • Departure on Friday at 12 noon.
  • WHAT TO BRING:
    Campers should bring sheets, blankets or sleeping bags, towels, soap, bathing suit, socks, basketball shoes, playing clothes, alarm clock, fan and other personal items.
  • RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATIONS:
    Overnight campers will live in a modern university residence located next to the Dewhurst Dining Hall and the John H. Price Sports Centre. Constant supervision is provided by a Residence Director and Hall Counselors with a 10:30 p.m. curfew for all students. Laundry facilities and pay phones are located in residence. The food quality is excellent and is served on an all-you-care-to-eat-and-drink basis.
  • JOHN H. PRICE SPORTS AND RECREATION CENTRE:
    Campers will have the use of the outstanding John H. Price Sports Centre, which includes two large gyms, jogging track, weight training facilities, swimming pool, squash and tennis courts.
  • INSURANCE:
    Insurance is the responsibility of each camper’s family. Quebec and Ontario residents have health service coverage from their provincial plans. Insurance covering personal possessions is not provided.
  • SPORTS MEDICINE CENTRE:
    The Bishop’s Sports Medicine Centre is open throughout the camp, and a Certified Athletic Therapist will be present at all sessions. Any injury requiring treatment will be covered and an Orthopedic surgeon is on call.
  • RULES AND REGULATIONS:
    Campers will be required to attend all scheduled sessions and follow the rules and regulations of Bishop’s University. Any abuse or violation of these rules will result in immediate dismissal from the camp without refund.
